We are delighted to announce that we are presenting at, and sponsoring, PyData Berlin 2017.

What is PyData? PyData “brings together both users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The goals are to provide data science enthusiasts, across various domains, a place to discuss how best to apply languages and tools to the challenges of data management, processing, analytics, and visualization.” The event takes place between June 31st - July 2nd 2017 and you can find more about the conference here.

We have previously hosted a PyData meet up here at GetYourGuide in September 2016 and it was a huge success!

As mentioned previously, our Head of Data Science, Alexander Weiss will also be presenting at PyData. Alex’s talk, “Size Matters! A/B Testing When Not Knowing Your Number of Trials” explores the idea that If an A/B test's statistical evaluation is based on the number of trials and successes for each variation, what happens if you don't know the number of trials for your experiment? Although this question sounds rather theoretical, we faced it in practice. This talk is about our search for the right question to ask.

We are hiring! You can find all of our current engineering positions, including data and python openings, here.
